I prepare this as a condiment to a simple meal of white rice & vegetable soup. My late grandma used to make & my mum perfected it....it is simply a Javanese condiment.
Ikan Kurau dried fish (those sold in packets, in rectangular sizes like choc bars).
2 Lime kasturi
3 red chillies
5 chilli padi
(see picture for estimate proportion of ingredients)
Cut the fish into cubes & fry till quite crispy. Pound or blend everything till semi-fine....simple right?
PS: it is salty, so eat sparingly LOL.
